ADAMS COUNTY PARKS & REC Spend your summer in the sun and at the beach! We’re looking for individuals who enjoy the outdoors to help with the Adams County Summer Swim Program and provide Lifeguard services at County Parks. Must have American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification, but assistance in obtaining may be provided if requested prior to interview. Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and must be able to work with the general public. Must be at least 16 years of age and have reliable transportation to various work sites. Starting wage $8.00 per hour. Employment period June 2 to Sept. 4, 2012 with an average work week of 32 hours or more, including weekends and holidays. The Deputy County Clerk aids the County Clerk in the discharge of statutory duties and performs the duties of the County Clerk in the clerk’s absence. The duties of the County Clerk and Deputy are described in Wis. State Statute 59.23. The Deputy will perform administrative duties, election-related functions, maintaining databases, preparing documents, certified copies, vouchers, and other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent with special training in clerical or office skills, accounting, business law; computer proficient; three to five years experience preferred in a governmental agency; bookkeeping knowledge and/or experience. Testing is required. WAGE: $14.54 per hour plus benefits. Adams County Health & Human Services Department is looking for a Clinical Services Manager to implement the vision of a unified and integrated human services delivery system, including outpatient mental health and AODA clinics, assign clients to therapists and counselors, and lead clinical collaboration staffings. Assist in the design and implementation of Comprehensive Community Services program. Work to expand Coordinated Service Teams (wraparound) initiative. Oversee operation and growth of telehealth services. Participate in the development and deployment of a seamless intake/crisis response system. Maintain small caseload. Qualifications include: a Master’s Degree directly related to providing mental health services; licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist, Professional Counselor, or Clinical Social Worker; outstanding interpersonal skills and problem solving abilities; the ability to counsel, treat, mediate, and provide first line supervision; and comprehensive knowledge of techniques for assessing emergencies, various therapeutic approaches, dual diagnosis evaluation and treatment methodologies, and applicable chapters of statutes and administrative codes, including program certification requirements. Adams County is recruiting for a full-time Director of Health & Human Services Department. This individual will be responsible for the development, administration and leadership of a comprehensive health and human services system, including economic support, child welfare, juvenile justice, mental health, alcohol and other drug abuse services, physical and developmental disabilities, public health and aging programs. The Director creates an annual budget sufficient to carry out the Department’s responsibilities and statutory mandates. The Director assesses and reacts to the changing service needs of the community and continually evaluates the effectiveness and efficiency of current programs. Qualifications necessary: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in social work or human services field and a Master’s Degree in human services and five years progressively responsible experience in the administration of a human services system, or equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities. Knowledge of administrative procedures, including budgeting, planning, personnel supervision and program evaluation. Knowledge of principles and practices of social/human services programs and requirements and of state and federal health and human service programs and requirements. Knowledge of legal requirements for health and human service programs, including client rights, confidentiality and non-discrimination. Superior writing skills, and the ability to compose a variety of complex and sophisticated professional documents, assessments and reports. Ability to plan and direct the work of others. DEPUTY MEDICAL EXAMINER |

Adams County is currently recruiting for a Deputy Medical Examiner position. The Position is on contract basis, from date of hire through December 31, 2012 and will be considered on an annual basis thereafter. No benefits are offered. REQUIREMENTS: Evening, weekend and holiday work required as needed, and ability to work on-call twelve hour shifts. All positions require a current Wisconsin driver’s license. Must be bondable. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Requires a combination of training and experience equivalent to at least an Associate Degree in Police Science OR related field and two years experience either performing criminal or civil investigations including written reports; medical background trained at least to the EMT basic level and two years of medical field experience; knowledge of Wis. SS 979 and 69. STARTING WAGE: $7,333 per year flat contract, paid in monthly installments (pro-rated for the first year).
