Adams County snowmobile trails tentative opening date is scheduled for Monday December 12, 2011, providing there is enough snow to open the trails.  NEW FOR 2011-2012 SNOWMOBILE SEASON – trails must have a minimum of 6-8 inches of snow County-Wide and groomed before trails will be opened.  Snowmobile trails will not remain open regardless of conditions till April 1 as they have in the past.  When conditions warrant trail closures, trails will be closed County-Wide.  Trails will not be open on one end of the County and closed on the other end of the County – openings and closures will be County-Wide.  No trails will be opened or closed on weekends, only on weekdays.  Trails openings/closures will be announced on the Adams County radio station WDKM –FM 106.1, on the Parks Administration phone at 608-339-4230 and choosing the snowmobile trails information line, as well as the website.
